Dmin (5th posn) Cmaj (3rd pos) Bbmaj
(1st pos) A7 (1st pos)
You get a shiver in the dark, its raining in the park the
meantime
Dmin Cmaj Bbmaj
A7
Sound of the river you can hear
everything
Fmaj (1st pos) Cmaj (3p)
A band is blowing dixie - double four time
Bbmaj (1p) Dmin (5p)
You go inside when you hear the music play
Bbmaj Dmin Bbmaj-(slide)-Cmaj (short fill)
The rest of the song continues with the same chord structure, but between
some verses there is a long-fill/chorus which is:
Bbmaj Dmin Bbmaj-slide-C
We are the sultans
Bbmaj Dmim Bbmaj-slide- C Dmin
we are the sultans of swing
Dmin Cmaj Bbmaj-slide-C Dmin C {repeat once}
Note -
The Bb-Dmin-Bbmaj-C part in the chorus can be quite tricky if the song is
played at a fast tempo. One trick is just to play strings 2,3,4 (using the
first finger for Bb and C). Then, the Dmin shape can be fingered on top of
the C shape using fingers 2,3,4.
Enjoy....
