For training in the visual recognition of rising and falling pitch and in the development of eye to ear coordination. The clef is deliberately omitted in order to focus upon relative pitch based upon direction and distance of movement. Sing this exercise by singing the numbers as words to the notes in order to prepare for the relative pitch of scale steps and intervals. The four-line stave allows for nine notes (not counting leger lines, flats or sharps).
