Two chorale preludes for the Easter season by the eminent American composer, Richard Yardumian. EE KEREZMAN, based on a 13th century Armenian melody, is subtitled RESURRECTION, and is a slow, majestic statement in two movements that closely follows, as does the other prelude, the conventions of the Bach chorale prelude, but in a primarily tonal style unique to the composer. "MY GOD, MY GOD" is a very brief, but moving prelude basedon the tune, "Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland" (Now comes the Holy Saviour) from the early medieval "hymn-book," the GEISTLICHES GESANGBUCHLEIN of 1524. There is a very important and integral part for the pedals in this prelude. Medium difficult.
