Later famous for his numerous film scores,. among the best known were 'Ten Days to Tulara', 'Cry of the Bewitched' and 'Swiss Family Robinson. Lost in the Jungle'. Adomian was born into a Jewish family in the Ukraine and emigrated to the USA via Romania. He quickly developed an interest in Negro music, met Ives, Copland, Ruggles and many of the other influential composers and then went to Spain during the Civil War with the Abraham Lincoln Brigade. These diverse influences led him into radio and television and he continued to compose, eventually becoming rightly celebrated for his talent. This lively and challenging Dance plays with rhythms and harmonics to create a fairly short but virtuosic piece for the advanced player.
