Bach’s six suites for violoncello were composed in a relatively short period. 1717-23. along with other great string works. The development of musical and technical demands increases almost exponentially throughout. This first volume, with accompanying CD, contains the first three suites BWV 1007-1009, as edited by Tim Hugh.
