For this poem I decided to use my previously composed piano solo Stillness for the musical background with the vocal part spoken above. This poem may be performed in either French or English. I was immediately attracted to the imagery and almost surrealistic nature of this poem and immediately thought that my piano solo, Stillness, was the perfect music to combine with the text.
