Even in the hands of a child, a piece of paper with the simple outline of a figure can become an amazing artistic creation. A coloring sheet is, in its simplicity, a wealth of possibilities. This is the concept behind the composition of this percussion duet. Every phrase is 10 bars. Harmonically, the piece uses repetitions, variations, and transpositions of only one progression. The instrumentation is limited and commonplace. The intent was simply to create a multitude of colors and combinations from within that outline.
