A wonderful Christmas prelude for organ. Based on "Joy To The World", this work adds the complex harmonies of the modern composition while celebrating the holiday season with music. As Easter is about rising, Christmas is about light and life descending unto the Earth. The first descending light is in the person of Christ, the light of the world, to one day ascend to God the Father, the essence of all light. Another is the Star, descending to Earth to show us the coming of the Son of God. 'Joy to the World' is the perfect Christmas Carol for a new anthem on Christmas Day. This piece was presented to Timothy Kreuger, friend and teacher, Christmas, 2007.
