"Coming Full Circle" is based on a Pakistani folk song and a transcription of Iranian Tar improvisation performed by Daryoush Tala'i. There is a trading section between voice and violin. Requires pitch bending. Optional written solo is included. Instrument substitutions may be made if necessary. Original Pakistani text and translation are provided. Chart builds to the end. American jazz meets the musical traditions of the Far East Coming Full Circle. Not for the faint of heart, but worth the effort. SATB with violin, tar, tambura, fretless bass, and tablas.
