Oorspronklik

Praise the Lord , My Soul. Psalm 146 composed by Paul Lisicky. For SATB Choir, Descant, 2 Cantors, Assembly, 2 Trumpets in B flat, Guitar, Keyboard. SATB. Psalms for the Church. Christian, Worship. Octavo. 11 pages. Published by World Library Publications. WL.007742. Here is an exceptional psalm setting from the not-too-distant past. Paul Lisicky composed this animated setting of Psalm 146 in 1980s and it still sounds as fresh and new as it did almost twenty years ago. Two trumpets add just the right festive touch to adorn Paul's thoughtful setting of these words with modal-like harmonies. The verses were convincingly conceived with the vocal lines alternating between the two cantors. The last verse utilizes full choir with trumpets and leads to a final triumphant statement of the refrain as all joyfully play and sing God's praise. Not too much work for fantastic results.

Prys die Here, o my siel. Psalm 146 gekomponeer deur Paul Lisicky. Vir SATB koor, diskant, 2 chazzaniem, Vergadering, 2 Trompette in B-mol, Guitar, Keyboard. SATB. Psalms vir die Kerk. Christian, Aanbidding. Agtste. 11 bladsye. Gepubliseer deur World Library Publications. WL.007742.
