FJ.B1590. This highly programmatic work tells the story of buccaneer naval warfare and the ghosts that linger to this day, haunting the seas and all who pass through them. After an evocative opening featuring numerous rattles, the music becomes aggressive and relentless as it portrays the credo-driven pirates and their attacks during the height of their power. Intense and extremely engaging. 45. Slightly more advanced than beginning band. Clarinet 1 begins to play over the break. Rhythms and ranges are expanded to accommodate the end of first-year as well as second-year instruction. Grade 1.5.
