From "Mapa Armonico Practico", facsimile manuscript including this score published by Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas. In the original scores all 8 voices are set out on distinct staves. The AATT voices appear in one score and the SSBB voices in a further and separate score immediately underneath, so it may have been intended that the canon should be sung in either of those groups of voices as well as in 8 parts and, no doubt, in 4 voices SATB. "Trocado" indicates that the canon uses contrary motion.

In die oorspronklike tellings al 8 stemme word op duidelike draaghoute. Die AATT stemme verskyn in een telling en die SSBB stemme in 'n verdere en afsonderlike telling onmiddellik onder, so dit kan bedoel gewees het dat die kanon in een van die groepe van stemme sowel as in 8 dele en geen twyfel moet gesing word, in 4 stemme SATB. "Trocado" dui daarop dat die kanon gebruik teendeel beweging.
